Ray’s Bio
Ray Reyes es un puertorriqueño nacido en Nueva York que se convirtió en integrante de Menudo en Febrero de 1983.
Reyes llego al grupo sustituyendo a Xavier Serbia en el grupo y llego al grupo en medio de su época de oro. Reyes obtuvo gran popularidad entre las fans del grupo, El primer álbum que Ray grabo con
el grupo se llamo “A Todo Rock” donde interpreto las canciones “Si tu no estas” “Chicle de amor” y “Zumbador”.
Ray salio el grupo después de solo dos años debido a su repentino crecimiento y cambio de voz. Ray salio del grupo después de que el disco “Evolución” saliera al mercado,En 1988 tres años después de haber salido de Menudo se unió a sus ex compañeros de Menudo Rene Farrait
y Johnny Lozada en Proyecto M una vez más sustituyendo a Xavier Serbia. Con Proyecto M Ray disfruto de gran popularidad en toda Latinoamérica y Estados Unidos.
Ray esta casado y tiene dos hijos; Marcos Alejandro de 9 años y Cecilia de 2 años.
Ray se unió en 1998 a sus ex compañeros de Menudo para integrar lo que ahora todos
conocemos como “El Reencuentro” y junto con ellos Ray realizo una gira mundial que
termino el 3 de diciembre de 2000.
Ray Reyes
Ray Reyes (born 1970) is a Puerto Rican who was born in New York and became a member of Menudo in early 1983.
Reyes came to substitute Xavier Serbia on the band, and joined the band right in the middle of Menudo's golden era.
Reyes ammased great popularity among Menudo fans, although he was known as the chubby one
of the band. He was considered that because when he joined Menudo, Edgardo Diaz put him on a strict diet, and the fact he was in a diet was leaked out to all gossip magazines, who published the information immediately.
Ray's first album with Menudo was A Todo Rock, where he sang '"Si Tu No Estas,'" '"Chicle De Amor," and "Zumbador.". He continued through the time when Menudo had the number 1 hit Indianapolis and when Menudo started making it to the covers of Tiger Beat and other major teen magazines, and also when Menudo became famous in the Philippines and Japan.
Ray left only after 2 years in the group due to his sudden voice and height change.
Years later he joined former Menudos Rene Farrait and Johnny Lozada in Proyecto M,
once again substituting Serbia. Proyecto M went to enjoy great success in Puerto Rico
and Venezuela.
Ray got married and has a family. He joined some of his former Menudo bandmates as
well as Farrait and Lozada in 1998 for a concert named El Reencuentro in San Juan. The concert did so well, they had to add two more San Juan dates that weekend and then
went on a worldwide tour.
